GE LM5000
A workhorse cogeneration and mechanical-drive engine. AMP supports LM5000 fleets with inventory, exchange units, and managed overhaul.
About the LM5000
Aeroderivative gas turbine derived from the CF6-50 aircraft engine. Used primarily for cogeneration, power generation, and mechanical drive applications. Configurations deliver 30–35 MW.
Built from the GE CF6-50 commercial-aircraft core, the LM5000 has spent decades in cogeneration plants, base-load power generation, and mechanical-drive duty in oil & gas processing. While newer engines have superseded it on new-build projects, large operating populations remain in service worldwide — and parts support is a real, ongoing requirement.
How AMP Supports LM5000 Operators
Because the LM5000 is now in a mature lifecycle phase, the parts market for it is exactly where an independent supplier like AMP adds the most value. We source inventory globally, carry consumables and accessories in-house, and route component overhauls through MRO partners with active LM5000 capability.
We can also help operators monetize surplus LM5000 stock through buyback or apply it as credit against new acquisitions.
